The natural reserve of Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu was established in 1984 in Xuyen Moc district with an area of 11,293ha. This is the only natural forest left in the South of Vietnam with the diversified values. The reserve has many rare wild animals which are listed in the World's Red Book. Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu forest is a famous forest in South of Vietnam. On 9 August 1986, the Council of Ministers signed the Decisions No.194 to list the forest in the Category of National Forbidden Forests. Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu forest is a community of diversified landscapes,  attracting a number of domestic and foreign visitors.
