Long Tan Cross Stele

Long Tan Cross Stele was built by Astralia royal military in Long Tan commune, Dat Do district on 18th August 1969 to memorize Australia soldiers killed in the South Eastern battlefield in the raid having the combination between Australian military force and New Zealand military force on 18 August 1966. This stele is made from reinforced concrete, has the shape of cross which is simple but this displays the mark of Vietnam's war history. There have been thousands of veterans of Australia royal military coming here to memorize their dead comrades as well as publishing the articles about this cross stele. And on November 16th 1988, the Ministry of Culture and Information recognized this cross stele as the national level historical vestige.
